Goodwill Easter Seals Community Center

Goodwill Easter Seals offers an Adult Literacy Program, GED Prep & Adult Basic Education classes.  Classes are offered in Ft. Walton Beach and Crestview.  It is open enrollment so you can join anytime!  Classes are offered Monday & Wednesday 8:30am to 10am & 1:30pm to 3pm at the FWB Community Center; Tuesday & Thursday 10:30am to 12pm & 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the FWB Community Center; and Friday 8:30am to 10am at the Crestview Jobs Plus Building.  All the materials for the adult literacy program are provided by the

 United Way of Okaloosa-Walton.

NWF State College offers several Adult General Education Classes including Adult Basic Education, English-as-a-Second Language, GED Orientation, GED Preparation and GED & ABE classes on-line.  All courses and classroom material are FREE to qualified adults age 16 or older and you can enroll anytime throughout the year.  If you choose to take online classes NWF State College will loan you a computer if you do not have access to one (but you are responsible for paying internet fees).

The AFRC offers a variety of services to military and their dependents.  There Transition Assistance Program (TAP) provides information, education & referral to active duty members and their families separating or retiring from the military.  They also host a wide variety of programs including Resume Writing Workshops, "Be Your Own Boss", Spouse Computer Training, and Spouse Employment Orientation.  All services are free of charge.  Military spouses also qualify for college tuition assistance, please call for further information.
