Text Box: United Way Day of Caring is an annual event to mobilize people in Okaloosa and Walton Counties to make a positive difference through volunteerism.  In 2008 Day of Caring Teams brought together over 625 volunteers, donated over 1,800 hours of service and completed more than 50 projects in the community.  The value of services provided by the volunteers was over $37,000! September 12th Fort Walton Beach September 16th DeFuniak Springs September 17th Niceville September 18th Destin/South Walton September 19th Crestview   We want to thank all the volunteers that made the United Ways 15th Annual Day of Caring a great success.  It is through the continued support of local businesses that we can successfully meet the needs in our community.   We hope to see you next year!
