United for 5,000 More

Right now, about 40% of Okaloosa and Walton county residents are struggling to meet their basic needs. These are our neighbors, our daycare teachers, grocery store associates, home health aides and hospitality workers, who are living one unexpected crisis, injury, or illness, away from poverty. That’s where we come in.

United Way Emerald Coast tackles our community's most daunting social crises by forging unlikely partnerships to find new solutions to our oldest problems. Last year, we helped over 44,000 individuals by providing food, rent and utility assistance, childcare, emergency shelter, affordable healthcare, and more.

Our fiscal year may be coming to an end, but the need for assistance is greater now than ever before. In the next 30 days, our goal is to raise the funds to make it possible to impact up to 5,000 more individuals. Your gift could be the difference.

Together, UNITED, we can do more.

More Stability

Since July, we've made sure that 180 individuals and families had a place to call home. 52% of them were provided stabilized and permanent, affordable housing. With your support, even more of our neighbors will be able to count on access to affordable housing, empowering them to move from crisis to financial security.

For a neighbor in need, your $60 gift could provide 12 more nights of safe shelter.

More food on the table

Since July, United Way Emerald Coast has provided over 275,000 meals. Locally, 1 in 8 adults and 1 in 5 children are facing food insecurity.  Your contribution ensures that no one in our community has to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

$150 provides 30 more days of food on the table for a local family.

More Success

Since July, 419 students have participated in academic after school programs and/or received individualized tutoring thanks to United Way Emerald Coast. With you on our side, united, we can improve educational outcomes for children by expanding early learning opportunities and increasing support outside of school, leading to brighter futures.

With your $260 donation, 4 more children could participate in academic after-school programming.
