We know that anyone can fall on hard times. That's why we partner with local organizations so you can confidentially connect to community resources. United Way Emerald Coast proudly supports Panhandle 211, Florida Veterans Support Line, and SingleCare!
Panhandle 211 was designed to strengthen the health and human service information and referral provider network in Okaloosa and Walton counties through advocacy, coordination, and education. Panhandle 211 connects individuals with resources that can help by maintaining up-to-date information on emergency food and shelter, services for families and senior citizens, health care, child care, services for people with disabilities, counseling and mental health services, and more.
To speak with a trained Resource Specialist, simply dial 211 or 850-892-4357 (HELP) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or visit https://panhandle211.communityos.org/
Florida Veterans Support Line
By calling the Florida Veterans Support Line, veterans and their loved ones can talk confidentially with a fellow, trained veteran who will provide emotional support as well as connections to VA-funded and community-based services. Help - and hope - is out there.
To speak with a trained Care Coordinator, simply dial 211 or 1-844-MYFLVET (693-5838) or visit https://211nwfl.communityos.org/veterans.
Through their prescription savings card, SingleCare (formerly FamilyWize) works to make prescription medications more affordable for everyone, so that no one ever has to make the hard choice between the meds they need and other basics like food or rent.
With the SingleCare coupon card there are no forms to fill out, there is no waiting period and no registration. The card is free for everyone and serves as a reusable coupon on FDA-approved medicines. Whether you are insured or uninsured, simply show the SingleCare card and get the best price on your prescriptions.
There are three ways to get your SingleCare card: 1) Print your card from www.singlecare.com, 2) Download the FamilyWize app for iPhone or Android, or 3) Call United Way at 850-243-0315 to have a card mailed to you.
