Before joining United Way Emerald Coast, Laurie spent more than a decade as Founder and CEO of The Inside Story, LLC, where she built a powerhouse, service-oriented business dedicated to helping organizations grow from the inside out. A gifted storyteller and strategist, Laurie aka Laurie With A Story became known for uncovering the “inside story” of individuals and businesses—translating vision into meaningful growth. During her tenure, she and her team helped raise over $32 million for hundreds of organizations across diverse industries, delivering measurable results and creating a transformative return on investment.
Through her leadership, The Inside Story cultivated a talented, mission-minded team driven by servant leadership, innovation, and a shared passion for expanding opportunities for clients. Laurie also extended her influence through the Inside Story Hunters Podcast, where she amplified voices and stories that inspire growth, connection, and purpose.
Today, as Director of Impact at United Way Emerald Coast, Laurie brings that same entrepreneurial spirit, strategic expertise, and servant heart to the nonprofit sector. She works alongside community partners throughout Okaloosa and Walton counties to advance United Way’s mission—mobilizing resources, strengthening collaboration, and improving lives. Her focus is centered on helping nonprofit organizations expand their capacity, increase sustainability, and deliver meaningful, lasting impact for individuals and families across the region.
