What is Volunteer Week?

Volunteer Week presented by HCA Florida Healthcare is a nationwide celebration held each April to recognize the individuals and organizations who show up for their communities and create lasting change through service. At United Way Emerald Coast, Volunteer Week reflects what we see every day. Neighbors coming together to support one another and create real, meaningful change. Last year, because of YOU during Volunteer Week, we:

completed 43 service projects at schools, non-profits, and municipalities
hosted 3 kit builds across 5 locations
had 360 volunteers step up and give their time
contributed 1,800 total volunteer hours
created a community impact valued at $60,282 through hands-on service and shared effort!

Volunteer Week Projects
Throughout Volunteer Week, April 20–24, we’re giving YOU the opportunity to get involved in a variety of community service projects across the Emerald Coast. From hands-on volunteer opportunities to projects that support our local non-profits, schools, and municipalities, there are so many ways to make a meaningful impact. We encourage you to sign up for as many projects as your schedule allows and be part of something bigger.

Volunteer Week Kick Off
The Volunteer Week Kickoff is a fun, relaxed celebration honoring the volunteers who make our work possible, because YOU are the stars of the show. This come-as-you-are gathering will feature light bites, happy hour, and time to connect with fellow volunteers and UWEC non-profit partners from across our community.
