Miranda moved to the area in 2024, when her husband received orders to Eglin AFB. A military spouse for 17 years, she has lived in six states and two countries. She has worked in education as a middle-school reading intervention teacher and elementary before and after care coordinator, and in the non-profit sector as the shelter coordinator for a domestic violence shelter.
She spent 8 years as a key spouse for her husband's squadrons, supporting military families, and currently serves on the governing board of Junior League of the Emerald Coast.
At United Way, Miranda is the Program Manager, working to support and coordinate direct services for the community. In her free time, Miranda loves to cook, garden, do yoga, and lift weights. She loves to read and spend time with her husband, three sons, and two dogs.
